U.K.s Black Hangar Studios opens

Carole Siller to serve as CEO

LONDON — Filmmakers looking to lense in Blighty will now have another door to knock on as new studio facility Black Hangar Studios has opened for business.

Situated 40 minutes outside of central London in Basingstoke, the studio offers up 32,000 square feet of filmmaking facilities and boasts a 5,000 square foot water tank (one of two in the U.K.).

Business consultant and film producer Carole Siller has been appointed CEO of Black Hangar, while Simon Lamont and Digby Milner have been named head of art and production services, and head of special fx respectively.

Lamont and Milner’s combined 30 years’ experience has seen them work across franchises such as “Harry Potter,” “Batman,” “James Bond” and “Star Wars.”

The aim for the studio has been to ensure the facility can be tailor-made for each filmmaker, whether the project is for TV, commercials, theatrical release or music promo.
