Contrary to recent rumours, the Lagos State Government has said it has no intention of reversing the restriction of commercial motorcyclists from plying major highways and bridges in the state.
This statement was made on Sunday, 24 August, 2014, by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Lateef Ibirogba, saying that the government was convinced that the Lagos State Road Traffic Law 2012 was made in public interest.

Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi has ordered the reinstatement of the security personnel that were withdrawn from Shina Peller. Recall that Naija News earlier reported that the security details attached to Peller were withdrawn after he moved the motion for the dissolution of the NSCDC.
In a statement signed by the Director, Public Relations at the Corps’ headquarters, DCC Olusola Odumosu, the commandant condemned the initial withdrawal of the lawmaker’s security detail as he stated that it was not within the power of the person who ordered the withdrawal to carry out such an action.
