Oxygen Sets Network Ratings Records With Bad Girls Club
Reunion special, 'All Star Battle' debut make it the No. 1 cable net in key female demos Tuesday
Some bad girls produced some very good ratings Tuesday night for Oxygen.
The combo of a “Bad Girls Club” reunion and the series premiere of “Bad Girls All Star Battle” gave the 13-year-old cabler its highest-rated night on record in key demos, according to Nielsen. The programs ranked first and second, respectively, among all Tuesday cable programs in women 18-49 and 18-34, and for the night, Oxygen finished ahead of everything else on cable as well as CBS (with its drama repeats).
The 9 p.m. telecast of “Bad Girls All Star Battle” — featuring 14 of the most memorable girls in “Bad Girls Club” history square off in physical and mental challenges — delivered Oxygen’s highest-rated series premiere to date in total viewers (1.73 million), adults 18-49 (1.05 million) and women 18-49 (814,000). These averages are more than three times what Oxygen had been doing in the time period the prior month. The show, hosted by actor and musician Ray J, moves to its regular 8 p.m. timeslot next Tuesday.
“Bad Girls All Star Battle” aired after an hourlong “Bad Girls Club” reunion special, featuring the women from the Atlanta edition of the series. It drew a series-best 1.99 million viewers in the 8 o’clock hour, including 1.25 million adults 18-49 and 919,000 women 18-49 — growing about 30% from the previous week (which was also a reunion episode).

“Bad Girls Club” and “Bad Girls All Star Battle” ranked as the top two most-tweeted about series on television Tuesday, according to SocialGuide.
Oxygen recently greenlit an 11th season of “Bad Girls Club,” with the series returning to Miami. It’s set to air on Tuesdays this summer.
